Widening live public roads for new development traffic: Ashmore Bridge Road, work in Mauldin and Greer, and county road upgrades. Traffic stays open, the ditch line moves, and the new pavement has to tie into the old within tolerance.

Why It Mattered
The part that was hard.
Very few contractors our size will take road widening. It needs traffic control, a drainage design you can read, and a paving crew that can build a tie-in joint that does not fail in the first freeze.
For a developer whose permit hangs on a turn lane, that capability is the difference between opening on schedule and waiting on somebody else’s subcontractor.
